Diverse Marine to build three more crew transfer vessels for OEG, delivery through 2027
UK shipbuilder Diverse Marine has won an order from OEG Marine Services for three more crew transfer vessels (CTVs). Deliveries are planned throughout 2027.
The boats follow the BREVITY SL class, designed by Chartwell Marine of Southampton. Each is 26 m long overall, with a load line length under 24 m. All three share one specification, are classed by Bureau Veritas and fly the UK flag.
The first vessel will have quad Volvo Penta IPS drives that meet IMO Tier III emission rules. It will also have Hull Vane transom foils, which are meant to save fuel at cruising speed.
The new boats will join Fulmar, a CTV that Diverse Marine delivered to OEG in 2025. Earlier this year, Fulmar worked on offshore construction at the 1.1 GW Inch Cape wind farm in Scotland.
OEG says the vessels support its fleet renewal and expansion and will help it serve clients from 2027 onwards. The source does not name the wind farms the new vessels will serve.
Solid bar = confirmed · outlined = planned · blue = long-term jobs
| ROLE | WHEN | DEMAND | CERTIFICATES THAT HELP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Offshore service technician (CTV-based) | 2027 onwards | STEADY | GWO BST, Sea Survival, offshore medical |
| Offshore installation technician | 2027 onwards, project dependent | STEADY | GWO BST, BTT, Sea Survival |
| Marine crew / deckhand on CTVs | 2027, as vessels are delivered | LOW | STCW basic safety, ENG1 medical, GWO Sea Survival |
CTV capacity helps offshore service and construction jobs run. Watch which wind farms OEG's new boats serve from 2027, as that will show where work grows.
This order is mostly boat-building and marine crew work. Get GWO BST and Sea Survival to be ready for transfer-by-CTV roles.
Long-term CTV fleets point to steady offshore O&M. Look at service roles on UK wind farms rather than short construction contracts.
