Baltica 2: Poland's biggest offshore wind farm moves into offshore construction
Ørsted and PGE have started full offshore construction of Baltica 2, about 40 km off Ustka in the Polish Baltic Sea. At 1.5 GW it will be Poland's largest offshore wind farm. Van Oord is installing 111 monopiles (107 for turbines, 4 for substations), each around 100 m long and 1,500 tonnes. Foundation work runs until Q4 2026, and the wind farm should be fully commissioned in 2027.
