Inch Cape: turbine installation starts off Scotland with Cadeler's Wind Mover
Turbine installation at Inch Cape, off the Angus coast in Scotland, has started. Cadeler's new installation vessel Wind Mover is doing the work.
A Notice to Mariners dated 27 October says the vessel will first jack up at the site in a safe haven position. Then it will go to the Port of Dundee to load components. AIS data shows Wind Mover reached the site on 30 October.
Acta Marine's service operations vessel Acta Hercules will support commissioning. The crew transfer vessels NOS Exceller and NOS Empowerer will support operations.
Installation and commissioning will continue until September 2027.
The wind farm will have 72 Vestas V236-15.0 MW turbines. They will sit on 54 monopiles and 18 jackets. All monopiles are in place, and jacket installation is under way.
Inch Cape is 1.1 GW and lies about 15 km offshore. First power is expected in late 2026. Full commercial operation is expected in 2027.

Contact the installation and commissioning contractors now. Commissioning starts as the first turbines go up, and V236 experience helps.
Get GWO BST and BTT first, plus Sea Survival and an offshore medical. Entry roles are more likely on the port side at Dundee and in support roles.
Aim for O&M roles. The wind farm is expected to enter full operation in 2027, so service work should follow the installation phase.
